The Western Shield – Israel
After achieving peace with its neighbors and then with the Palestinians, Israel may need to achieve a complete harmony with its neighbors by removing Arab and Muslim reasons for negating Israel’s right to exist. Is this really what the west wants? Is it possible?
Israel is the easiest target to direct the energy of pan-Arab nationalism and anti-west sentiments. Israel is also a subject that unifies the Arabs. Arabs see Israel as a western entity planted in the Middle East with western support. They do not consider the fact that most of Israelis were born in Israel and more than half of Israelis can trace their ancestry through Arab countries (Sephardic and Mizrachi Jews). They see Israel as a western plot, an idea of which interpreted differently, is in essence anti-west sentiment redirected toward Israel. Israel is used as a main motive to unite the Arab world and for the purpose of deflection of hostile anger emanating from the poor reality of most Arabs. All the Arab countries endure fledgling autocratic governments with unequal resource distribution and with a fundamental lack of accountability. What a better deflector for the anger for the Arab masses came into existence than the state of Israel?
The West’s interest was always to keep the flame in the
Middle East so the Muslim’s anger and anti-west
sentiments will be focused on Israel.
Israeli leaders help achieve this objective without realizing it. In fact, part of
Israel's problems now and in the past, stem from the failure of its successive
leaders to steer the country clear of other middle-eastern quarrels, and the
lack of understanding of western objectives in the middle-east (Suez canal
crises, Iran-Iraq war, Iraq nuclear plans…).
The Western apparent declaration of support for the creation of Israel in 1948 includes:
· Guilt of the holocaust
·
The apparent establishment of western entity in the
middle east
·
The establishment of homeland for the Jews which is not
in Europe (Herzl
wrote that Zionism offered the world a welcome “final solution of the Jewish
question.” In his “Diaries”, page 19, Herzl stated “Anti-Semites will become our surest friends, anti-Semitic countries our
allies.”)
The undeclared motives for Western support for the creation of Israel in 1948 include:
·
Creation of a barrier between the Muslim world and the
west (the permanent state of war between Israel and its neighbors is of a great
interest to the west)
·
Middle East policing (Suez canal, oil delivery…)
·
Western entity overseeing oil
·
Control expansion of communism in the Middle-East
The conflict in the Middle East - The Great Deception
Why
and who tries to depict the conflict in the Middle East, between Israel and the
Arabs as the central conflict in the world today? Why According to polls carried
out in the European Union, Israel holds first place as “Danger to world peace”.
In Holland, for instance, 74% of the population holds this view (Not Iran or
North Korea). Israel is regarded as
the country responsible for every calamity, misfortune and hardship. Is this is
one of the biggest deceptions of modern times? Does the western media, for its own
interest, tries to depict this conflict as a central one and keep the focus of
Muslim anger on Israel?
Ben Dror
Yemini of Maariv said:
“The tragedy is that in Arab and Muslim
countries a massacre is happening. A genocide protected by the silence of the
world. A genocide protected by a deception that is perhaps unparalleled in the
history of mankind. A genocide that has no connection to Israel, to Zionism or
to Jews. A genocide of mainly Arabs and Muslims, by Arabs and Muslims. This is
not a matter of opinion or viewpoint. This is the result of factual examination,
as precise as possible, of the numbers of victims of various wars and conflicts
that have taken place since the establishment of the State of Israel up till
this time, in which the massacre continues. It is, indeed, death on a massive
scale. A massacre. It is the wiping out of villages and cities and whole
populations. And the world is silent. The Muslims are indeed abandoned. They are
murdered and the world is silent. And if it bothers to open its mouth, it
doesn’t complain about the murderers. It doesn’t complain about the perpetrators
of these crimes against humanity. It complains about Israel.
This great
deception, that covers up the real facts, endures and even grows because of one
reason only: The Media and Academia in the West participate in it. In endless
publications, books, periodicals and websites Israel is portrayed as a state
that perpetrates “war crimes”, “ethnic cleansing”, and “systematic murder”.
Sometimes it is because this is fashionable, sometimes it is mistakenly,
sometimes it is the result of hypocrisy and double standards. Sometimes it is
new and old anti-Semitism, from the left and from the right, overt and covert.
Most of the classic blood libels were refuted not long after they came into
being. The blood libel of modern times, against the state of Israel, continues
to grow. Many Israelis and Jews are accessories to the nurturing of the libel.”
Muslim
Victims of wars:
Algeria 500,000 to 1 million in the war of
independence (mostly by the French); 100,000 in the civil war in the
90’s
Sudan:
2.6 million to 3 million.
Afghanistan:
One million to one and a half million, as a result of the Soviet invasion; about
one million in the civil war.
Somalia:
400,000 to 550,000 victims in the civil
war
Bangladesh:
1.4 million to 2 million
Indonesia:
400,000 killed, with an additional 100,000 to 200,000 in East
Timor
Iraq:
1.54 million to 2 million victims (war with Iran and by
Saddam Hussein’s
reign)
Iran:
450,000 to 970,000 victims (war with Iraq)
Lebanon:
130,000 in civil war
Yemen:
100,000 to 150,000 fatalities
Chechnya:
80,000 to 300,000 fatalities
Turkey,
Syria, Kosovo, Jordan: 120,000-200,000
In
framework of the
Israeli-Arab conflict (all the wars
from 1948 to now) the total count reaches about 60,000 Arabs
fatalities and about 20,000 Israelis
killed.
The
numbers speak for themselves. The
Arab-Israeli conflict is one of the biggest deceptions of modern times,
propagated by the media with the interest of the West and the fledgling Arab
kingdoms.
Iran’s interest in keeping the flame against Israel
Most Arabs are Sonnies who do not like Shiites because they
believe they are not true Muslims.
Iranians are mostly Shiites, non-Arab (not considered real true Muslims
by the sonnies Muslims, which are about 85-90% of Muslims). Iran is interested in having Israel as a
cause to unite its own people and then unite the Muslim world while redirecting
their anger toward Israel. Iran in realty does not want the destruction of Israel or
its removal from the Middle-East.
Israel’s existence is important for Iran. According to Iran’s President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the
Jews have to return to their original countries. Iran really does not want the several hundred thousands of Iranian Jews
returning to Iran. Furthermore, Iran’s
President understands that without Israel, Arab anger
would have been directed against Iran (and Turkey). Also, tough rhetoric against Israel (subconsciously against the
west), will present Iran as a leader of the Muslims while causing the Muslim
world to forget that Iranians are non-Arab Shiites. What he says in public is just “show business”.
Western and US Interests in keeping the flame
When John Foster Dulles returned fro the Middle East in 1953, he advised the American people "the Arabs fear Zionism more than Communism". In successive wars during the Cold War, Israel destroyed the Soviet-built arsenals of several Arab countries. That helped protect Washington's Arab allies against aggression by pro-Soviet Arab powers — and thus kept the Soviets from gaining indirect control of the region's vital oil resources. Israel also taught Washington ways to build new weaponry to fight Soviet hardware. In addition, Israel taught the Pentagon generals strategic modern fighting schemes against Soviet made hardware and fighting schemes against middle-east powers. The Arab-Israeli conflict provides jobs to hundreds of thousands of people in Europe and in the USA and in Russia. The Arab-Israeli conflict generates demand for arms not only in the Middle East but also in the whole world. During the cold war Russia and the US had strong interests in keeping the conflict going. Russia with its strong influence on the Arab world could end the conflict with one gesture. However, arms supplies provided income to Russians and in the same way to the US and the West. Israel was used as the slow burning stove to keep tensions from flaring between the Soviet Union and the West. The pawns were Arabs on the Soviet side and Israel on the West’s side. No one was interested in a checkmate, but in a continuous game.
The Western countries pretend to scold Israel following any action happening against the Arabs, but they are usually pleased of the situation. As an example, in 1981, when Israel knocked out the French-made Iraqi nuclear-weapons center, the West scolded the Israelis. Behind the curtains, everybody was very happy, including most of the Arab countries. To the west, Muslim nuclear programs bring the greatest nightmare ? WMDs falling into the hands of Islamic terrorists and a loose extremist state with nukes hoping to achieve its past glory as an Empire. Israel, at war with the Arabs is good to the west, because the first objective of these Islamic terrorists will be Israel. On the other hand, Arab countries with their autocratic governments prefer to keep the situation as it is. They really do not want peace; they need Israel as a deflector for the anger of the masses. In the meantime the West and several dictators of the Middle-East are happy; Semitic people are killing other Semitic people; the conflict is continued; the oil is flowing; arms are flowing; and communism is in check. If the West really wanted a solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict they could have handle it long time ago, using economic, military and diplomatic pressures on the Arab countries.
